Anson can next be seen as Jonny Rotten in Danny Boyle’s limited series PISTOL, based on the Sex Pistols, for FX.

Anson’s credits include SULPHUR & WHITE directed by Julian Jarrold; a small but juicy role in the Paramount thriller, CRAWL; and a major role in the feature BLACKBIRD, opposite Kate Winslet and Susan Sarandon, which premiered at TIFF and the London Film Festival.

He can also be seen playing the leading role in the acclaimed feature, THE WINTER LAKE, directed by Phil Sheeran, and in Sam Mendes’ 1917.  On stage, he played the leading role of Hally in MASTER HAROLD AND THE BOYS, directed by Roy Alexander Weise for the National Theatre. Anson has been featured in numerous publications including Interview Magazine, The Observer, Flaunt, The New York Times, Porter, and Vogue.

Anson was named one of Screen International Stars of Tomorrow 2019.
